- Donations from guests: many couples already have everything they need to start their life together, so they are choosing to ask guests for donations instead of gifts for their wedding day.
- Donations from the happy couple: in lieu of wedding favours, many couples chose a special way to say thank you to their guests by making a donation on their behalf.
For Wedding and Events Planners
You can make a big difference in the lives of the children we teach. If you have clients who wish to give back, we hope you will consider presenting us your charity of choice in Thailand. Not only will look great to your clients from a corporate social responsibility standpoint, it will also have a huge impact on the futures of our students. Click here for more information on how to make this possible.

Examples of great support from these generous couples:
These days, many couples are tying in vows with values and coming up with ways to incorporate charitable giving in to their wedding celebration.
Take supporters Jean-Claude and Kantaya Reuille, who requested their wedding guests donate to PHBGTU Foundation in lieu of gifts. Thanks to the generosity of this incredible couple and their guests, over 600,000 baht was raised! One of our past English teachers, Stephanie Bossert and her husband Ellis, also asked their wedding guests to help them raise money to purchase in-kind teaching supplies for her classroom and Coconut Club.
By supporting local Thai registered charity, Phuket Has Been Good To Us, you are adding a unique touch to your special day, but are also helping to make a difference to the lives of underprivileged children in Thailand. "Honeyteering": We’ve got so much love to give!
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) knows that many newlyweds today wish to start their married life together with a fulfilling volunteering experience in Thailand. In 2014, TAT ran a contest offering the winning couple an exclusive seven-day Honeyteering Trip to Thailand. Phuket Has Been Good To Us was honoured to have been chosen as one of the participating charities.
In May 2017 PHBGTU also was chosen as the charity of choice by the 4th annual Destination Wedding Planners Congress which was held in Phuket.
